Xbox has finally heard your calls, and makes a lovely decision at the end of the day. It has finally reversed the pricing update of the xbox live gold which disappointed many players before. The xbox live gold prices are back to normal now.
Xbox grants all players with a great opportunity as a apology from its side. Players will no longer need a Xbox live gold membership to play the free to play games. They have now became truly free for all the players around the globe.
Xbox agreed to the calls from all the gamers and said that, "We messed up today and you were right to let us know. Connecting and playing with friends is a vital part of gaming and we failed to meet the expectations of players who count on it every day. As a result, we have decided not to change Xbox Live Gold pricing".

If you are an Xbox Live Gold member already, you will stay at your current price for renewal.
All the New and existing members can continue to enjoy Xbox Live Gold for the same prices they pay today.
In the US, you will have to pay the same as before which was: $9.99 for 1-month, $24.99 for 3-months, $39.99 for 6-months and $59.99 for retail 12-months.
If you’re an existing online 12-month or 6-month Xbox Live Gold member, there is no price change. If you choose to renew your membership, it will be renewed at your current price.
