So let's begin with the final playstation 5 specs :
1. Processor Or CPU
Third Party Image Reference
The PlayStation 5 will have an AMD CPU or Processor with 8 Cores Based on Zen 2 architecture which is used in the Ryzen 3000 or 3rd Generation processors. The frequency of this processor will be 3.5GHz and the Xbox series X is having with the same CPU but at the frequency of 3.8GHZ which is faster than the PlayStation 5.
2.Graphics Processing Unit (GPU)
Third Party Image Reference
The Gaphics Card or GPU which is
included in the PlayStation 5 is of 10.28 TeraFlops with 36 Compute Units or Cores. The GPU is equivalent to the RTX 2080 Graphics Card. The frequency or speed of the GPU is 2.23GHz.
But the GPU included in the Xbox Series X is of 12 TeraFlops with 52 Compute Units or Cores. The frequency or speed of the GPU is 1.825GHz. As the compute units are more than the PlayStation 5 GPU, the speed will be more. The GPU of Xbox Series X is equivalent to the RTX 2080Ti Graphics Card.
So this is another point for my disappointment. However the GPU Architecture is the same in both the consoles which is Custom RDNA 2 Architecture.
3.Random Access Memory (RAM)
Third Party Image Reference
The Ram is similar in Both of the consoles that is, 16GB GDDR6 RAM. The speed of the PlayStation 5 RAM is 256 bits.
4.Internal Storage
Third Party Image Reference
This time, Sony Has not given a Pre- included Hard Disk Drive. The PlayStation 5 is equipped with a 825GB SSD whose speed is 5.5GB/s which is super fast and will provide you a smooth experience in your console.
But the most disappointing thing is the size of the SSD. The Games which we will play in our PlayStation 5 will have a size of 100GB or more. If the Company have included a 1TB SSD then it would be much more Better as the Xbox Series X is equipped with a SSD of 1TB.
5. Expandable Storage
Third Party Image Reference
The PlayStation 5 also have options for the expansion of storage, if your storage fills very fast. It has a 1TB SSD expansion Card which support SSD of upto 1TB, But for that you have to purchase an extra NVMe SSD which is very expensive.
So this is another point which will disappoint most of you. As for the Xbox Series X, it has an extra NVMe SSD Slot in which you can insert an extra NVMe SSD.
6.External Storage
Third Party Image Reference
The PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X both have the support Of External Hard Disk Drive. However the capacity is not told yet but as the PlayStation 4 has a support of external hard disk drive of up to 8TB, so the PlayStation 5 can also have this much external hard disk drive support.
7. Optical Drive
The PlayStation 5 has a support of 4K UHD Blue Ray drive support. So you can easily enjoy 4K UHD movies and Gameplay. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X both consoles are equipped with the Ray Tracing Technology to give you a realistic experience while playing games.
8. Resolution Support
Third Party Image Reference
The PlayStation 5 supports 4K Resolution Gaming at 120 Frames Per Second (FPS) and the Xbox Series X also Supports 4K 120 Frames Per Second (FPS).
The Most DISAPPOINTING Point is that The Xbox Series X Supports 8K Resolution Gaming. But the PlayStation 5 doesn't support 8K Resolution Gaming.
These were the Major Specifications of The PlayStation 5.
